This day-long workshop is a comprehensive introduction to tensile or fabric structures, and it is useful for all professionals to improve/upgrade their skills and knowledge of the practice of Quantity Surveying or Architecture. It is focused on new technologies, materials, and systems therefore, Architecture or Structural Engineers, Architects, Civil and Structural Engineers, Developers, and all who are involved in the design and building industry will benefit from this workshop

After this one-day workshop, one can expect to have a general understanding of where fabric structure can be applicable, what functions, forms and scales are suitable to be applied by fabric structure, and in general how these structures are built and installed.

The workshop lead speaker is Arch Leila Araghian - Co-Founder DIBA Group

She is the Chief Architect and Designer of Tabiat Bridge in Tehran, a pedestrian bridge opened in late 2014 which has won several prizes, including the 2016 Aga Khan Award for Architecture and the Popular Choice Award in the Highways & Bridges category of Architizer's 2015 A+ Awards.
